Europe had robots instead of the Contra guys. North American games are altered for their Japanese releases, too - are you getting buttfrustrated over that as well? How about the Chinese removing skeletons from everything in media? Magic: The Gathering couldn't release a Chinese version for ages and when they finally did it had alt-art for all of the spoopy skeletons. I don't give a fuck about censorship in games. If anything, it justifies their changes because if that is enough to boycott the game then you really didn't ever want to play it anyway. Remember that North Americans had to "fight" to get Xenoblade in the first place, so if this game doesn't sell (regardless of the reason) it will simply come down to "NA doesn't want this kind of game after all". ![]() ![]() The problem is that the "boycott" isn't going to be effective, and it won't send the correct message.
